DescriptionLower Fox Creek School on a clear summer night on the Kansas prairie.jpg
English: The historic Lower Fox Creek School sits atop a hill in the Flint Hills region of Kansas. Built in 1882, this one-room school house was constructed with limestone blocks and cypress woodwork with pine flooring. The building measures 24 feet wide and 30 feet long. It was restored in the 1970's and added to the National Register in June 1974. This photo showing the school house with the Milky Way as its backdrop was captured August 21, 2020, a clear summer night on the Kansas prairie.
