This page is where stewards can be requested to deal with problems relating to the recently-implemented unified login feature. These include:
  • Usurpation of accounts
  • Deletion of global accounts

[edit] Requests for usurpation or deleting global accounts

Here you can request your account deletion and usurpation on wikis without active bureaucrats, or request the deletion of a global account if you need to be renamed or to usurp an account elsewhere. Please add new requests at the bottom!
If you want to request the renaming of multiple accounts on wikis without local crats please use the format:

Hi Spacebirdy, now for me i don't care, its more about cleaning up because i am going to abandon the mion account anyway, problem inhere is i can move for example to the DE wiki and ask there, but i can't login there and have to reveal my IP number to do so, a lot of work for little edits. To keep it to Meta, the last request was concerning Meta, is that one possible ? Cheers Mion55 11:51, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Hi Mion, if You want to change Your accountname on Meta, please leave a note on Meta:Changing username, this here might not get noticed, also it is not quite obvious what exactly the request is about. Usurping Mion?.

Following that link is about changing the accountname on Meta which is not the case, only about merge User:Mion, so should I stay here ? Mion55 12:29, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

I thought so, so I striped them, the problem is, none of the the passwords work on these accounts, so 1 way is to email me a new password for User:Mion(meta) to nl:Gebruiker:Mion after that I do Global unification of the Meta account with the dutch account. Mion55 14:29, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

I joined my original separate accounts

by SUL but need to uncouple them now - is this the same as "deleting the global account"? Thanks, --Kalupinka 12:04, 25 August 2008 (UTC) PS "Your edit includes new external links"? What for a nonsense is this?

Oops, sorry for the delay - I already answered this once, but apparently lost the text instead of saving. Yes, cs: is my original, main account and I use en: very little; I don't see into the guts of the system what particular way of action is better to take. My requests has the same reason as others': I found out that when I log in, I get kicked out from other projects where I am logged on a non-unified account. --Kalupinka 12:31, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Hm, yes, sure that is the benefit from SUL, You stay logged in cross-wiki, of course You can't be logged in to more than one account at the same time. Thought about having the other accounts renamed to the global name?
But to Your question: unmerging local accounts is not the same as the deletion of the single user login, the unmerging would just detach these accounts from the global login system, You would have to log in on each separately.
The deletion of SUL would unattach all too, but then Your name would not be protected anymore, anyone could create an account with Your name.

Hello, Your SUL account "Insider" does not have to be deleted, commons bureaucrats can rename Your old name to "Insider":
  1. they rename the current "Insider" to something else (eg. Insider (blubb))
  2. they rename Insider51 to Insider

az.wiki, tr.wiktionary and ru.wiktionary: if the bureaucrats don't respond to Your request, please let us know, then we can do the renames, but please try the local crats first, sometimes they do respond (I would recommend to contact them directly on their talkpages in these wikis).

I want undo SUL and remove two autocreated of my Jackie_ru accounts (ru:Jackie_ru and en:Jackie_ru. It need beacause I have another SUL account Jackie, but in the pl-wiki active another user Jackie and I create new account there. Confirmation in the pl-wiki. Hello, this is confusing. I don't understand what exactly we should do:
  • we can't remove accounts (we can only delete the global account, which means that all local accounts are unmerged but they will remain locally!)
  • the SUL account Jackie ru has 4 edits in total and no unattached accounts, what is the problem with it?
