  • Personal info: I have been registered since mid-2006, and throughout I mainly enjoyed doing various types of maintenance. To facilitate that, I was allowed the use of the sysop tools on the English Wikipedia, Simple English Wikipedia, Meta, and Commons; since I expanded into monitoring small wikis I was also granted global rollback in order to assist with counter-vandalism/spam efforts more efficiently. I'm regularly available on IRC to help with SWMT (on #cvn-swconnect) and on #wikimedia-stewardsconnect, where thus far I've been reporting cross-wiki vandals/spammers to be globally blocked or locked. I'd like to serve as a steward for the Wikimedia community to be more effective at what I do now, along with carrying out community consensus where appropriate.

    Since it is obvious this is about me I'll comment just to make sure record is straight. I know Mentifisto never told me personally that I shouldn't run because of my dyslexia.     He told others. But its not just his comments about you, but his running tally of everyone elses typos. It took me "yelling" at him numerous times to get him to stop doing it in regards to my own typos/spelling. And frankly I find that highly immature and not to the level required of a steward.     I have to say that I have issues with this candidate. I have been in IRC PM with him when he has complained about another candidate who is running for steward because they have issues with spelling.     I have decided to abstain from this vote because I do not want others to get the idea that Mentifisto has expressed that people with dyslexia are unsuitable to be stewards, which he fears I may have done. He has not said that to me. He has complained about the other candidates spelling issues but in the interests of not wishing to perpetuate a misunderstanding that he is against people who are learning disabled, I'll just not vote at all.   20. Apparently no experience in other languages. I do appreciate the effort to do some minor edits across all wikis, but there are no significant contributions in any but English, not even in the other languages the candidate lists as his or her user languages (mt, it, la). I don't like seeing the complaints by others above, but with 42,000 contributions, I don't expect all of them to be perfect. (See also my question at Stewards/elections_2010/Questions#Mentifisto.)
