The hindi script (devanagari) is not rendered correctly. For example, see how "hindi" is written. In my view, correcting this problem is absolutely necessary.

How is this to be done? Apparently there is a transliteration from the qwerty keyboard keys to devanagari script. Another way could be to use a (the?) standard keyboard layout for Indian languages and use an independent rendering software.

Would you like me to go to a place like CDAC and find out more? (Maybe CDAC's font group can be asked to do this themselves.)
