Too English?[edit]

I believe something similar to what happened with the Scots wikipedia has happened here. I can not understand Norfolk, but I can understand this, which suggests it probably isn't Norfolk. My parents generation grew up with the previous generation speaking Norfolk, yet many of them never managed to understand Norfolk, which rather strongly suggests true Norfolk is very hard to comprehend for an standard English speaker. It is possible whoever wrote it is indeed from the Island, maybe they even have Norfolk speaking parents, maybe even took classes in school, but the English Australians had such success in invading the Island and oppressing the people and language that this does not necessarily mean much. 121.127.206.113 18:50, 4 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
