Project Tiger Writing Contest

Project Tiger is a writing contest that aims to encouraging Wikipedia communities to create locally relevant and high-quality content in Indian languages.

After seeing the astounding participation from the Indian communities, the second iteration of the Project Tiger is happening again in this year.

Rules

Create, translate or expand articles, in your own words, from a given list of topics whilst paying proper attention to sourcing requirements. The cumulative edit(s) per article shall be of 300 words and 9000 bytes (with sources), at a minimum

The creation or content-update shall be executed between 1 October 2019, 0:00 and 15 January 2019, 23:59 (IST)

Prizes

Each month three individual prizes will be awarded to the top three contributors from each participating community, based on their net contribution(s) for the month. The prizes will be worth 3,000 INR, 2000 INR, and 1,000 INR respectively.

At the end of the three-month-long contest, the community with the maximum number of articles expanded or created will win a community prize. This will be an exclusive 3-day capacity training event for the winning community.
