Autopatrolled

Hi Jdx, just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrol right to your account, as you are a trustworthy user. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Meta:Autopatrollers. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! RadiX 00:39, 2 October 2017 (UTC)

SVG Translate Community wishlist survey project

Hello! Thank you for voting for the SVG Translate project that was proposed in the 2017 Wishlist survey. The Community Tech team in the Wikimedia Foundation is beginning to start their work on the project. We're currently looking for feedback on some open questions which will allow us to come up with preliminary designs for the tool. If you are interested in being involved, you can watch the project page and join in the discussions on the talk page. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and learning from your experiences. Thank you. -- NKohli (WMF), Product Manager, Community Tech (talk) 21:53, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

The Community Wishlist Survey

Hi,

You get this message because you’ve previously participated in the Community Wishlist Survey. I just wanted to let you know that this year’s survey is now open for proposals. You can suggest technical changes until 11 November: Community Wishlist Survey 2019.

You can vote from November 16 to November 30. To keep the number of messages at a reasonable level, I won’t send out a separate reminder to you about that. /Johan (WMF) 11:23, 30 October 2018 (UTC)

Ombuds_commission

I apologize I didn't check history of this page so I just failed to see your comment. So maybe it could use some syntax like {{MediaWiki:group-ombuds{{#translation:}}}}. Stang 12:33, 8 April 2022 (UTC)

@Stang: No problem. IMO the solution with #translation should work in most of cases, but it will fail miserably if there is no translation for a given language. On the other hand, do we really need a kind of automation in that place? I do not think that the group name will be changed in the foreseeable future. --jdx Re: 11:59, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
The main purpose is to reduce the work for translator - if it is defined elsewhere, it is not necessary to re-define it. Stang 12:22, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
@Stang: IMO very disputable – it depends on personal preferences. E.g. for me it is much easier to translate plain text than to switch to another browser tab in order to find out what is the meaning of this "strange variable" and then translate. --jdx Re: 12:41, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
