Please add description of the request, with all the necessary details. Osun Wikimedia Network aims to host a physical meetup for her community members to network,contribute and also be part of the WikiIndaba celebration that will take place in Agadir, Morocco on the 3-5 November 2023.

We are organizing a one day in-person meet-up for our members to partake in the conference and interact virtually to strengthen their engagement, increase their knowledge and foster inclusion by connecting with other Wikimedians virtually across the globe.

1. User:RukayatAjeigbe:She is an experienced Wikimedian and a certified trainer of Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom Program, an ambassador for movement charter in the Movement Charter Drafting Committee (MCDC). She has participated and co-facilities in various Wikimedia projects such as Wikimedia Awareness Program in Osun State, Wiki4HumanRight Campaign in Osun State, Wiki Loves Africa, WPWP, Wikidata(Media personalities in Nigeria), Wiki-GLAM Awareness for Libraries and Librarians in Kwara, Wikidata for Libraries and Librarians in Nigeria, 1lib1ref 2022 Kwara. She will be the co-ordinator, She will be responsible for the major activities of the project, including receiving the grants funds, writing the grants report, and implementing the project.

2. User:OTim75: He is an experienced Wikimedian and has organised and facilitates several Wikimedia projects,such as: Wiki Info- Tourism and Wellness, Photo tours in Osun State, Wikipedia Awareness follow up in Osun State. He will mobilize members, collate contributions, disseminate reports, He will ensure that every member have enough notices and opportunity to contribute fully throughout the physical meet-up.

Outcomes

The funds will support 30 participants that will be connecting virtually to the Wiki Indaba conference in Morocco. Also, the community members will be able to meet up and network, ask questions and feedbacks will be collected from the participants regarding the Wiki Indaba satellite meet-up.

We are sincerely grateful for the time and effort you invested in applying for a micro-grant for WikiIndaba 2023. Your interest in contributing to this event is highly appreciated.

Unfortunately, we have to inform you that your application was not selected for the micro-grant. We received an overwhelming number of quality applications (77 applications for only 7 grants), which made the decision process extremely challenging. Given the constraints, our focus has been on projects from underrepresented communities or groups that lack on-site representation at the conference. The team decided therefore to provide the grants only to countries where there are no user groups at the moment.

Though your application was not selected, we greatly value your interest in WikiIndaba 2023.
