Proposing Future Directions on Contents in Malay Wikimedia Projects[edit]

Abstract/description[edit]

Whilst the Malay Wikipedia and its sister projects currently reached its peak with various projects to fuel up the contents, it's imperative for us to look into our to contents of our projects and its quality to ensure it's on top-notch, up-to-date and fit the needs for users, in line of Wikimedia projects as the leading go-to online knowledge reference for the Malay world in general.

In this talk, we would like to lay up and discuss possible directions of quality enhancement of current and future Malay Wikimedia projects based on real-life opportunities and problems from the Malaysian society, as an example, and where should we focus onto.

Relationship to ESEAP or to the theme[edit]

This meetup is set up to envision the future of Malay Wikimedia content quality as one of Malay-language's primary online contents. This also made apparent the collaboration between the online (Malay Wikimedia projects) and the offline (the Malay-speaking society and beyond), either directly or not.

We should able to set a basic framework of the what should be expected of the future of Malay Wikimedia contents, and the various rooms of improvement of quality for the benefit of the readers.
From here, we can also explore various possible programs WCUGM and its related clubs can conduct to fulfill current demands and challenges.
