Climate, climate change and environment in English[edit]

en:Wikipedia:WikiProject Climate change/Style guide

Example: en:South Africa.

In the country article, sections usually include Geography, sub sections being typically Climate, Biodiversity, Conservation issues
most countries have a en:Climate of South Africa; a en:Climate change in South Africa;

Example: en:Ghana

en:Climate of Ghana and en:Climate change in Ghana

Example : en:Kenya

en:Climate change in Kenya

Example : when there is no specific Climat of, the Climate is usually a sub section of Geography of.

Such as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geography_of_Senegal#Climate Geography_of_Senegal#Climate and then there is en:Climate change in Senegal

Example for Environmental issues. Main page : en:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Environmental_issues_in_Africa.

There is a template with some blue and some red.

Template: en:Template:Africa topic

In most cases, Climate of redirect to a sub-section of Geography of. In a few rares instances, there is an independant article. For example

In most cases, Climate change in is a standalone article.

Discussions

In French[edit]

Climat

We can find a rather equivalent set up than in English (Climate is a sub paragraph of the Géographie section in the country article). Then there are some Climat de la - articles.
There is a template for Climate of : https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modèle:Palette_Climat_des_pays_du_monde. Most pages are pretty obviously missing.
There is no page equivalent to en:Climate in Africa

Climate change. There is a https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Réchauffement_climatique

there is no template of climate change per country
There is a https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Réchauffement_climatique_en_Afrique, with a few examples per countries
  • Changement climatique au Ghana
  • Changement climatique au Maroc
  • Changement climatique au Sénégal

There is no navigation system between the Climate changes (limited) articles.

I found my way here via a banner 'Africa Environment WikiFocus'. I'm not clear why, as I have all banners but 'Maintenance' and 'Special' disabled in my Wikipedia preferences. Can I perhaps pay extra, like YouTube, for an ad-free Wikipedia? - Crosbiesmith (talk) 03:11, 8 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

It's pretty likely that there are severe problems with banner display right now, please check phab:T331671. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 21:35, 9 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
