I don`t know if this is the correct place to post this but here goes;

As someone from an English-speaking country I find it very strange that, looking up an article (any article) from my home country, the text is easy to read and understandable in perfect English. Yet when I visit a foreign country (in this case Austria) and look up an article I find the English in the text so bad that it is almost totally unreadable. Is Wikipedia or Google recognising that I am in a German country and then presenting me with German text, however, upon my request, translating the German text to English but not very well ?

I only mention this because if this is the case, perhaps, instead of giving me the text in the language of my detected location (Austria = German), and then translating to English (very badly) it may be better to ask me which language I prefer, and then presenting me with the perfect English article which I would have been given in any case if I had accessed the article in my home country.
