Applying ArchiverBot

(Moved from viwiki talk page) Hi, can you please run your ArchiverBot at viwiki? I have already:

• added a new config template at vi:w:Thành viên:NgocAnMaster/ArchiverBot/config;
• translated the docs (at mw:Manual:Pywikibot/archivebot.py/setup/vi).

Since the ArchiverBot is not available on viwiki yet, you need to:

• log in with the bot account on viwiki.
• test it first at vi:w:Thảo luận Thành viên:NgocAnMaster/Bản tin (I have already got the template transcluded, you might want to change parameters for testing).
• if AbuseFilter here prevents you from editing, ask Plantaest (or other viwiki administrators here) to add an exception for this bot.
• once the test is OK, request it here.

Well, your bot works good on my page (see w:vi:Special:PageHistory/Thảo luận Thành viên:NgocAnMaster/Bản tin and w:vi:Special:Contributions/ArchiverBot), just a matter of the CAPTCHA (as I see in your log, some archiving actions has been blocked due to CAPTCHA, since ArchiverBot is yet autoconfirmed on viwiki). Later on, I'll expand the archiving test range (means that I'll test your bot on more pages), so keep the bot running! I think with the community consensus, you may open a bot request here. Yes, with CAPTCHA, it looks like I need to start the bot manually for now. I might need some more time to read the documentation to see what's expected there before creating a bot request. This talk page is (currently) about 530K bytes and ThiênĐế98 wants to archive using your bot (ArchiverBot). However, after putting the archive template on that page (that was placed properly) for about 2-3 days, the bot doesn't archive anything on that talk page; instead, in the log, it throws the error as seen here. The parameter |counter= on the template set to 15, but it seems like the bot checks the previous archives (down to 1) before archiving (e.g. checking archive 14's page). Any solutions to this? It looks like the page (number 15 in this case) needs to exist. [4] (This might be an unintended effect of phab:T215247.) As a workaround, can you try creating the 15th page as an empty page? whym (talk) 12:41, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
