Wiki Loves Yerevan International edit-a-thon

This year Yerevan is celebrating its 2800th anniversary. In the frames of the wide range of events dedicated to Yerevan 2800, Wikimedia Armenia in collaboration with Yerevan Municipality organizes an article writing contest on different language Wikipedias. The aim of the contest is to increase the number of Yerevan related content in the Internet.

To join the edit-a-thon just add your username in the participants' list with a link to your home language userpage․ When you create or improve articles in any language add under your username a link to each page you've edited with the score you claim. Please follow the format of the example below. Also take a look at the scoring system under the section “Rules of the contest”.

Who can participate? All those who have user accounts are welcomed to participate in this contest.

Rules of the contest

The writing contest will run from 00:01 (CET UTC+01:00) June 15, 2018 until 23:59 (CET UTC+01:00) July 15, 2018. You will get points by creating new articles or expanding existing ones:

  • +1 point for each new article.
  • +1 point for each +1,000 bytes of added content.
  • +1.5 points for each +1000 bytes of added content to the already existing article.
  • +0.5 point for each reference added to the article (only those references will be taken into account which are not generated automatically from Wikidata).
